neighborhood. So you can reach our base on foot and we can take care of all your

or want to take part in one of the numerous activities such as canyoning,
climbing or hiking.

Our facility includes our large holiday home Casa Vento, in which we live
and in which we serve your meals in a bright dining room on less warm and dry days.
The spacious garden attracts with hidden corners and beautiful places to
enjoy the evening sunsets, to relax in a deck chair, to admire the wonderful view or to a
sociable game of cards.
Here you can feel good and let your mind wander! Enjoy the fantastic panorama over the
mountains and the sea.
A single room in a holiday home offers two separate rooms
and a private bathroom with bathtub and toilet. One room is set up as a bedroom,
the other is your living space to relax. A small desk for your computer makes
communication towards home easier. All rooms are functional and lovingly furnished.
For general meetings, you can find yourself in Casa Vento on our large terrace, here
you make new contacts and take the booked meals. Or you just enjoy the view and look
forward to your vacation.
The equipment of a double room in Ribeira Brava is just as extensive:
a bedroom with a double bed or two single beds in the sleeping room, seating possibilities
and a small office table with folding chair in your living room form the center of your
accommodation. Inviting decorations adorn the walls. Of course, a
guest bathroom is also included.

Sports activities with Michael also start directly from this base.
Our apartment meets the highest standards. It offers two separate rooms, a
kitchenette with dishwasher and oven, a bright shower room with WC and a huge terrace with warm sunny spots.
Even though we prefer to welcome two people in our apartment, which was completely renovated in
2024 - only then will you have all the comfort - the folding sofa in the living room with a width
of 140 cm offers two additional sleeping places.
From your private terrace you can enjoy great mountain and sea views.
We know numerous holiday home owners in our immediate neighborhood
in Arco da Calheta. We are happy to find a beautiful holiday home for you according
to your ideas. With a fully equipped kitchen that includes all the necessary
utensils, you can cater for yourself perfectly. At least two large bedrooms,
a spacious bathroom and a terrace are waiting for you. Most of the terraces are
also equipped with a barbecue area.
For barbecue events in a larger group, we look forward to welcoming you to Casa Vento.
For camping enthusiasts, Ribeira Brava has a small campsite on the lower
level of a large property, from which you have a direct view of the Atlantic.
Either bring your own tent or move into one of the covered glamping tents that
are available for you. A power connection is just as natural as the free use of
the guest bathroom. Prepare your dinner on our barbecue area or simply book the catering.
We would be happy to see you in the common room, for example playing cards or meeting other
tourists for a talk about the island.

A delicious breakfast with plenty of fruit, eggs, cereals, and beverages ensures a
great start to the day.
For your day out or activities, we prepare a tasty packed lunch for you.
On your arrival day, a two-course menu is served. During the New Year's Eve activity week, we
additionally invite you to a special New Year's Eve menu.
On other evenings, you are welcome to use your own kitchen or enjoy dining out at local restaurants.

seventy of them are developed for canyoning, regardless of whether you are a
beginner or advanced - there is a suitable canyon for everyone.
We have invented our canyoning holiday so that you can get
to know this fascinating mixture of rock, water and adrenaline. A whole week
including five different canyoning tours of various types await you.
For those who want even more, we offer a canyoning course as well.
The level 1 canyoning course is the start of self-organized
canyon descents. You will learn all the necessary basic techniques to go on
easy canyoning tours with friends on your own.
The installation of abseiling points is on the curriculum as well as the various
rapelling methods, communication and material handling. You will learn how to
prepare and conduct a tour.
The concentrated knowledge of a canyoning professional with twenty years of
experience awaits you in Madeira. I share this knowledge with you.
This course is the advanced course after level 1. You will learn
the necessary techniques for demanding canyons: complex abseiling positions,
ascending the rope, the organization and planning of complex and longer tours
as well as important rescue techniques.
At the same time, you get to know the most exciting gorges in Madeira, high
waterfalls, great jumps and a unique landscape are waiting for you.
After participating, the huge world of this sport is open to you. There are
several thousand equipped tours across Europe!
Our New Year's Eve active week is a special highlight at Casa Vento!
Seven days full of exciting discoveries and adventurous activities await you. Along with delicious catering and
thrilling outdoor experiences, the New Year's Eve fireworks are, of course, one of the unique
experiences Madeira has to offer. Every year, the fireworks leave an unforgettable impression.
How wonderful that you will be joining us this year!
Our climbing holiday is an incomparable mixture of climbing
volcanic rock, luxurious accommodation, delicious food and beautiful nature.
Five days of climbing, some of them directly by the sea, make your heart beat
faster. In the evening at the barbecue, we talk shop and review the day with
its many impressions.
Of course, we provide all necessary material such as climbing harness, helmet,
carabiners, ropes and climbing shoes free of charge and take care of the
transfers to the climbing rocks.
We discover Madeira on selected hiking trails. The hiking week
includes five tours on mountain peaks, along artistically designed levadas or
in hidden gorges.
We enjoy the unique landscape, the fascinating botany and the many animals that
we meet on our hikes. For some stretches we need a flashlight because we are
going through tunnels - on others, height stability is required.
The variety of experiences is so extensive that you will never want to hike
anywhere else again.
The culmination of European hikes is a multi-day hike in Madeira.
On the Sea to Summit Tour we start at Paul do Mar beach and hike first a rugged
gorge to Raposeira, from there we follow wild levadas into the highlands and pass
some tunnels. Finally we pass several higher and higher mountain peaks until we
reach the highest, the Pico Ruivo. The last stage leads to the Pico Arieiro summit.
